Public Safety

Hello Toronto,

My name is Sandeep SRIVASTAVA and I’m asking to be your next mayor.

One of my campaign promises is to defend public safety and reject the dangerous defund the police ideology.

If elected mayor, I will work to ensure that our emergency services and community policing are adequately funded.

Defunding police services have been causing major problems for inner-city vibrancy and safety. Our first responders are always the first to run in, when everyone else is running out.

I am going to always have their backs. We must stand united with our police officers and condemn the reckless, ideological calls to defund them. We can do this while also keeping our police accountable and on budget. A properly resourced police service benefits every single Torontonian.

As Mayor, I would work to ensure that we adequately fund alternative response models, mental health and addiction supports, diversity training, and accountability measures such as body worn cameras. Torontonians are ready for change, and change starts now.

It is time to make public safety a priority. My name is Sandeep SRIVASTAVA and I am asking to be your next mayor.

Sandeep SRIVASTAVA
